On the morning of April 15th, the 133rd Canton Fair officially began. This year's Canton Fair will be held in three phases from April 15th to May 5th, and it is also the largest in history. The exhibition area and the number of participating enterprises have set new records.

The exhibition halls of the 133rd Canton Fair were officially opened, with a large number of domestic and foreign merchants flocking. This is three years later, when the Canton Fair reopened offline exhibitions.

This year's Canton Fair has opened a new 100000 square meter exhibition hall in addition to the original exhibition hall. The total exhibition area has increased from 1.18 million square meters to 1.5 million square meters, and the number of booths has increased from 60000 to nearly 70000.

It is understood that the number of offline exhibitors at this year's Canton Fair has increased to over 34000, with over 9000 new exhibitors and 39281 online exhibitors.

Among them, the offline exhibition hall has added three new exhibition areas: industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, maternal and infant products, and three new special areas: smart life, "silver economy", and testing and protective products. On the basis of maintaining 16 major categories of products, the number of exhibition areas has increased to 54, and the number of special areas has increased to 159.

It is worth noting that among the participating enterprises in this year's Canton Fair, production enterprises and private enterprises are the largest participants, accounting for 50.57% and 90.1% respectively. Enterprises have uploaded over 3 million exhibits online, including nearly 800000 new products and nearly 500000 green and low-carbon products.

At the same time, this Canton Fair has further expanded the scale of import exhibitions. For the first time, it has set up import exhibitions in three exhibition periods, covering 30000 square meters. 508 enterprises from 40 countries and regions have participated in 12 professional exhibition areas, of which 73% are from countries and regions along the "the Belt and Road".
